Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) Research Principal - 
Finance & Gender Lens Investing 

Roles & Responsibilities
Desired Skills & Competency
  • Actively manages financial sector & Gender Lens Investment qualitative and quantitative content

  • Updates sector-specific content (analysis and actions) on an ongoing basis with new research and identifies new opportunities to create practical sub-sector and thematic content

  • Creates & writes within a database new practical, user-oriented, non-academic sector content to help users in the sector simply understand GESI analysis concepts, actions to take, and how to measure results

  • Liaises with Data Science Team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and support qualitative contextualization of quantitative data and predictive models related to GESI & finance

  • Supports setting of an action-oriented research agenda specific to GESI integration within finance and GLI

  • GESI applied qualitative and quantitative research skills within financial systems with financial actors, and gender-lens investment

  • Applied GESI programming skills (e.g. action plan development and implementation to advance practical uptake of gender lens investment strategies)

  • Intersectional approach to GESI analysis

  • Database manipulation skills

  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking

Predictive Modeling & Applied Data Science Principal

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Maintains and updates gender equality scoring script for all scores across products (e.g. GESI scores, GBV Risk scores, organizational scores, etc.)

  • Harnesses extensive data lake of cleaned GESI data, current, and historical, to design and conduct predictive models, simulations, and reimagining the future

  • Identifies new GESI and political, economic, environment, financial and other data sets to ingest in modeling

  • Conducts research/ collects data as needed to support predictive modeling research agenda
    Works with Product Development team to identify improved ways to visualize interactive data

GESI Research Manager 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manages growing team of GESI Research Associates and ensure quality of their work

  • Sets research agenda and manages streams of work to implement the agenda

  • Coordinates with Data Science team to coordinate qualitative and quantitative research agenda and synthesis

  • Sets and maintains quality control standards in work products

  • Supports QA/QC of content, reviewing existing and new content and making direct edits and improvements

Data Science Manager 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manages Data Science/ ML team

  • Sets strategic predictive modeling and data science agenda, identifying areas for exploration, utilizing historical data to identify trends, and reimagining the future (and what it takes to get there)

  • Guides and directs predictive modeling, regression analyses

  • Oversees quantitative database management and structure across workstreams

  • Ensures integrity of raw data quality with validation & data refresh standards and updates

  • Oversees quality and QA/QC of data transformation and scoring processes to maintain the integrity of all transformed data
    Identifies new ways to leverage AI and ML to support Equilo's Mission
